All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, that’s why at St. Anthony Nursery and Primary School, Kajjansi we provide all-round quality education right from Nursery to Primary seven. On 13th July 2018, the Nursery learners took time off and toured Kavumba Recreation Centre in Wakiso where they were exposed to a variety of fauna and flora among which they appreciated God’s power in creating the various species like baboons, monkeys, zebra, kobs, snakes, ducks, crested cranes, pigeons and horses.

Ms Kenkuto Sylivia, the Head of Nursery School while interacting with the young ones and teachers, emphasized the need for outdoor education as this improves the quality of child development through their cognitive, emotional and social skills. She said that the field tours sparks curiosity among the learners leading to increased motivation or interest (improved attitudes) towards education and school life. She further thanked the parents and guardians for the financial support that made the tour a success. Preparations are underway for the next visit by the curious learners in the St. Anthony Nursery School, Kajjansi.
