My name is Apolot Margaret. I am 6 years old, and I am in Primary One. On 12th July 2024, we went to the zoo which is found in Entebbe Municipality. A zoo is a place where wild animals live.

We left school at 8:00 a.m. using our school buses. We saw and learnt a lot of things on our way from school to the zoo like traffic lights, Lake Victoria and other physical features. When we reached the zoo, we lined up and we were checked. After that, a tour guide welcomed us and then we started the tour around the zoo. We saw many animals like cheetahs, tigers, buffaloes, elephants, snakes, and monkeys. There were also interesting wild birds like the crested cranes and peacocks.

The tour guides told us special things about animals like the food they feed on, names of young ones and their gender opposites. After touring the zoo, we went and started enjoying some games in the swings and rides. We also ate ice cream, took sodas and cakes. There were many other children who also had come to tour the zoo. After having lots of fun, we boarded our buses and came back to school.

The most interesting thing I liked in the zoo was the chimpanzee swinging. I thank our teachers for taking us to the zoo. I enjoyed so much.

God bless you all!
